Adapted from Nestle's original recipe, this slice is a delightful combination of textures and the caramel just explodes in your mouth!

Singapore Sweet Corn Ice Cream
I call this "Singapore" because that is where I sampled it first and is quite unique and native to that country. It is one of those rare ice creams that you might be scarce to find anywhere else.

Hummingbird Cupcakes
I recently made this delightfully moist cake for my husband's birthday. It was a single cake made in a round cake pan. The same recipe with a minor adjustment to baking time, works well as cupcakes for a party.

Mango And Toasted Coconut Semifreddo
Yet another brilliant recipe from the coffers of Donna Hay's huge collection, this one tested out my new ice-cream maker beautifully and we had a creamy, delightful concoction for a hot, sunny day. Possibly the best ice cream ... ooops semifreddo i have had yet!

Madeira Sponge Cake With Lemon Buttercream
I adapted this recipe from a Kid's Birthday Party Book with a few minor changes of my own. I gave it a lemon flavour and iced it with homemade Lemon Buttercream. It was light, tasted marvellous and looked absolutely gorgeous. A great party cake to whip up on short notice.

Spring Strawberry Muffins
Sweet and Tart is an apt way to describe these heavenly little cakes. My fussy 2-year old who will not touch anything bread based took one bite and said "More Cake?" ... ahhh music to my ears!!

Basic Yellow Cake
This makes a great buttery base for kid's birthday cakes. Dress it up with some delicious homemade buttercream, pop on some cake ornaments and you have a show stealer at the party! This recipe makes one big or 2 medium sized cakes and can feed 15-20 people.

Dinosaur Pasties
It is the imaginative shape of this quick and handy snack, that makes it look like chubby dinosaurs. Draw eyes with a food colouring pen or stick in peas and you have your very own little T-Rex snack.
