    Orange And Ginger Ketchup
This recipe comes from Australian chef Ben O'Donoghue. I have used it a couple of times and it is just one of those things that are easy and wow you at the same time.

    Parsnip And Bacon Soup
Parsnips are in abundance in our weekly veggie baskets here in Sydney. We are smack in the middle of winter and are always looking of ways to use up the big bunch of parsnips we get every week. This time around I adapted a soup recipe from a supermarket recipe card. Very hearty with no seasoning used at all!

    Cranberry Cheese Cake
A very luxurious dessert, the cranberries shine like jewels in this creamy and gorgeous cake. Garnish with red ribbons and wow your guests.

    Pork Sang Choy Bow
This makes a great after-school meal and is fun to eat. The idea of mince served in lettuce bowls is pretty neat and can be expanded to all sorts of things being served in lettuce cups ... from scrambled tofu to legume stir-fries.

    Egg And Ham Jaffles
Jaffles are fast and fuss free if you have a jaffle maker [closed sandwich maker]. Change the filling and you will have a quick breakfast ready everytime you crave something wholesome.

    Slow Cooked Oriental Pork
The flavours infused due to the claypot and the tenderness imparted due to slow simmering will make the pork melt in your mouth.

    Peach & Lemon Jam
This was the first jam I ever made and also the first 'Weekend Project' for the site. It was a great experience and the jam which was a result of several modified recipes, turned out quite nice; almost like a chutney with a spicy undertone. It wasn't very difficult reaching the dreaded 'gel point' either.

    Raspberry And Pistachio Cake
A perfect spring loaf cake with an abundance of colours and textures. The reds of the raspberry and greens of the pistachios looks like fresh red spring blossoms dotted with tiny green leaves. I made this truly visual treat over Father's Day Weekend and it was lapped up, crumbs and all only 20 minutes into our picnic. Its that good!

    Old-Fashioned Apple Crumble
I usually make this traditional crumble whenever a friend who is allergic to eggs comes visiting. It is egg-free, buttery and oh so crumbly ... I like to cut it into neat square slices and store in an airtight box for a handy afternoon treat.

    My Mum's Instant Rawa Dhokla
I was lucky enough to see my mum make these with extreme ease these holidays and try them out a couple of times to perfect the recipe. This recipe will have you making delightfully soft, fluffy and oh so delicious khaman dhoklas instantly. And since they are made of "Rawa" [Semolina], they are healthier than their Nylon Khaman counterparts which happen to be made up entirely of "Besan" [Gram/Chickpea Flour]. Make these dhoklas for your next potluck or picnic and watch them disappear.
