    Hummingbird Cupcakes
I recently made this delightfully moist cake for my husband's birthday. It was a single cake made in a round cake pan. The same recipe with a minor adjustment to baking time, works well as cupcakes for a party.

    Radish Leaf Dumplings

    Lentil Burgers With Yoghurt Dressing
In the spirit of the Picnic Season, this week I have a great vegetarian recipe for all you Barbecue Lovers. A lot of my friends and acquaintances are going green and when they turn up at barbecue parties, serving them something totally vegetarian from the grill poses a big dilemma for the host. This lentil burger is not only delicious, it is super-healthy and has a lovely texture. It has egg though, and if your guest does not eat egg either, you can always use cornstarch as a binder instead of the egg.

    Wheat Chilli
There is nothing more comforting and gratifying than a bowl of good old fashioned chili. The marriage of tomato and cumin gives it its signature taste. Here is a spin off of the original version and uses whole wheat instead of meat mince. If you substitute the beef broth for vegetable stock .. voila!! you have a hot bowl of chili for vegetarians.

    Sampan Chicken Special
When I was studying in India, way back in the nineties, we used to frequent this little shack of a restaurant which specialised in Chinese Delicacies .. Indian Style. We couldn't get enough of their Special Chicken in Chinese Sauce. Here is that recipe.
