| Ingredients |

oil to fry

1 tbsp fenugreek [methi] seeds

3 green chillies finely chopped

12-14 curry leaves

salt to taste
2 cups urad dal
water to mix |
| Method |
- Wash and soak the urad dal alongwith the fenugreek [ methi ] seeds overnight [7-10 hours]. Grind the dal coarsely in a grinder/mixer to form a semi-smooth paste. Allow the mixture to stand for at least 4-5 hours till it gets fermented.
- Mix green chillies, curry leaves and salt with the paste. Drop medium sized balls of the paste in hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp.
