Prepare The Cake

Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Mix spices and add to the sifted flour. Dissolve soda in a little cold water and add to flour alongwith the chopped apples. Bake in 13x9x2" sheet cake pan in 325 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes or until done.

Prepare The Topping

Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar melts. Spread over warm cake. Return to the oven and brown top of the cake for a few minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
