| Peaches With Orange Toffee Syrup |

| Ingredients |
|
1 cup sugar
|
|
1/2 cup orange juice
|
|
825 g can peach halves drained
|
|
vanilla yoghurt or ice-cream to serve |

| Method |
Preheat oven to 200oC. Place the sugar in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, tilting the pan back and forth until the sugar dissolves and turns golden. Remove from heat. Add orange juice. Return to heat and cook, stirring, until toffee dissolves and syrup is smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 6-8 minutes till the syrup thickens slightly.
Place the peaches in a heatproof baking dish. Pour the syrup over the peaches and bake for 10 minutes. Serve warm with yoghurt or vanilla. |
