| Reminds me of the Sweet & Sour Chicken I am used to making quite often. This goes very well with Indian-Style Veg Pulao. |

| Ingredients |

1 chicken
|
|
1 can diced pineapple
|
|
3 oranges
|
|
2 onions
|
|
3 green chillies
|
|
1 inch piece ginger
|
|
3 cups water
|
|
3 cardamoms
|
|
3 cloves
|
|
5-6 garlic flakes
|
|
salt to taste
|

oil for frying |

| Method |
Clean and chop the chicken. Juice the oranges. Make a paste of the ginger and garlic. Chop the onions and fry in a little oil till golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste, chicken pieces and salt. Stir till the chicken turns brown. Add chopped green chillies and spices. Stir for a few minutes more. Add the water and cook over medium heat till the chicken is tender and about three cups of gravy remains. Add the orange juice and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Add pineapple cubes and cook for another 10 minutes. |
