| Ingredients |

2 tbsp ghee/butter
|
|
100 g rice bran
|
|
100 g split green gram
|
|
1 tsp curry leaves
|
|
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
|
|
2 tsp cashewnuts, chopped
|
|
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
|
|
1/2 tsp cumin powder
|
|
salt to taste |

| Method | | Heat ghee in a 2 litre pressure cooker. Saute the rice bran and green gram with the curry leaves, mustard seeds and cashewnuts for a minute. Add water, salt, pepper and cumin. Mix the contents well and pressure cook on high flame for 20 minutes [equivalent of 6-7 whistles]. |
