| This is a great 'first-food' for babies as young as 4 months. It is healthy, great tasting and provides an interesting texture for little ones wanting homemade goodness. |
| |
| Ingredients |
2 tbsp semolina
1 cup milk/boiled water
1 tsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp sugar |
| Method | | Combine semolina, milk, butter and sugar in a saucepan and simmer on low heat, stirring constantly till the pudding thickens and the semolina is completely tender. Remove from heat after 3-5 minutes. Cover and stand for 1 minute. |
| | Serving suggestions |
| Cool to 'just warm' before serving babies. |
| | Gel's Notes |
| Add a dash of cinnamon for older babies. | | For toddlers, add more variation and texture by adding a handful of finely chopped sultanas with the milk. | |
