| I think this recipe is the motherlode of traditional Indian sweet recipes. It is quick, takes only 7 minutes in the microwave and tastes as good as the barfi [burfee/fudge] that you buy from the mithaiwala [sweets vendor] at every nook and corner on the streets of India. |

| Ingredients |
3 cups full cream milk powder
300 ml thickened cream
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp milk masala |
| Method | | Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 3.5 minutes. Remove, stir well and microwave on high for another 3.5 minutes. Remove, stir and spread it evenly in a greased 'thali' or biscuit pan. Optionally you can sprinkle more milk masala or saffron strands on it. When cooled completely, cut into even squares and store in an airtight container. Will store well in the fridge for 2 weeks and outside in cool weather for a week. |
