| Ingredients |
|
4 pears, peeled, cored and diced
|
|
1 1/2 tbsp candied ginger/ginger in syrup
|
|
1 cup rolled oats
|
|
1/2 cup unprocessed oat bran
|
|
1/2 cup brown sugar
|
|
1 tbsp caster sugar
|
|
50 g butter, cubed
|
|
ice cream or yoghurt to serve |

| Method |
Preheat oven to 220oC. Combine pear,ginger,caster sugar and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan. Heat on low for 5 minutes, until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium and cook for anohter 5 minutes. Divide pear mixture between 6 small ovenproof ramekins or cups.
Combine remaining ingredients in a food processor. Process until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Sprinkle this oat mixture over pears. Bake for 20 minutes until top is golden. |
