| Bring on the maple!! I just love it!! I couldn't eat it by itself though. I do love the rich sweetness it imparts to desserts. I have been dying to try out this recipe ever since I saw it in a magazine. |

| Ingredients |
8 ripe plums, halved, stone removed
4 tbsp maple syrup
50g butter, cut into pieces
50g plain flour
50g rolled oats
25g golden caster sugar
25g flaked almonds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon |
| Method |
Heat oven to 200oC. Place the plum halves, skin side down in the base of a large, shallow ovenproof dish. Drizzle over half the maple syrup and roast for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile place the butter, flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and rub the butter into the mixture until you have rough crumbs. Stir in the almonds, then sprinkle over the plums. Drizzle the top with the remaining maple syrup and bake for 15 minutes until the top is golden. |
