A delicious Indian pudding with an interesting texture cooked in a jiffy using condensed milk and breadcrumbs. A perfect mithai for a post Diwali feast.
2 tbsp sugar
2 cups full cream milk
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/4 cup condensed milk
few saffron strands
Method
Place milk in a heavy bottomed pan and bring to a boil. Add the breadcrumbs, condensed milk and sugar. Cook on a high flame, stirring continuously for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, add the ground cardamom and saffron. Mix well. Chill for 2-3 hours before serving.
