Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and knead gently to form a smooth dough. Gently roll out the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper to a 2-3cm thickness. Sprinkle the slivered pistachios on the dough and press them down gently with the rolling pin. Cut into 16 neat squares.
Gel's Notes
Use ghee [clarified butter] to grease your hands and rolling pin while working with the dough. This not all gives a delicious aroma to the fudge, but also prevents sticking.
