| Ingredients |
| 1 tsp groundnut oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 pinch asafoetida
4 garlic cloves, chopped fine
4 tbsp small red chillies, coarsely ground
salt to taste |

| Method | Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add mustard seeds and asafoetida. Once they
start crackling, add garlic and stir briskly till evenly browned. Remove from
heat and wait for the oil to cool before adding the red chillies. Mix well. |
